   My story begins in 1984. That's the year that I graduated from Chiropractic College. By the next April I was seeing over 100 patients a day.

   The guidance counselor sent Julie to my office after school the next day. She was interesting to say the least. While she was a true "Brainiac" on paper, she had absolutely no common sense. Let's say she was not street smart and if you dropped her off in a strange town with a $100 bill and no cell phone... well... she would be almost dead from mental confusion by the time the sun went down.

   Ok, let's go back to 1985 when every patient had a travel card attached to a clipboard, and I was "supposed" to make some sort of notation on a daily basis regarding their progress in my office. Well, I tried.

   I really tried to keep up with my daily paperwork, honest!

   But I just couldn't keep up with 100+ patients daily. And it was very common for me to take these SOAP notes home at night to finish them. Never mind playing racquetball. 

   During one particularly busy Monday afternoon, Julie walked up to me and dropped about 30 clipboards on the floor and screamed:

"The only way these daily notes are going to get done
 is if your patients do them for you!"
